Q: What is the capsule made of?
A: Our capsule is 100% plant based and is made of cellulose.

Q: Is K2+D3 vegetarian?
A: Yes, it’s 100% vegetarian.

Q: "Although I have been anticipating some good results from your product I do have some concerns about its high potency. In my research there has only been a couple of sites that recommend anything higher than 1000 IU, but on average as low as 400 IU. But I did just read an article where this doctor suggests that the usual recommended dosage is way lower than we really need. I am confused. Can you please share your reasons/knowledge for the 5000 IU? "
A: There’s a lot of conflicting information on the internet, so we understand why you would be concerned. We chose to include 5,000iu in this formula for a couple of reasons:
1.) Product safety is our chief concern, and while some may believe that as little as 200iu is adequate, higher doses may help individuals with deficiencies more than lower doses. The “dangerous levels” of D3 are most common when individuals supplement several times our recommended daily dose.
2) After safety and effectiveness are confirmed, we make sure that our customers approve of the formula. We found that our Zhou customers responded most favorably to a 5000iu offering, especially when paired with a logical synergistic dose of K2. Most members of the Zhou team take this daily, and we constantly get feedback from our customers about how much this product has improved their healthy lifestyle.

Q: Where is the K2 sourced from?
A: Our Vitamin K2 as MK-7 is soy-free and derived from geraniol. Geraniol is the primary part of rose oil, palmarosa oil, and citronella oil. This nature-identical form of MK-7 has been extensively tested for molecular identity and bioequivalence when compared to MK-7 from fermented soybeans (natto). It is the all-trans form, thus providing a pure, biologically active form.

Q: Is K2+D3 gluten-free?
A: Yes, it’s gluten-free.

Q: Do you use the CIS form or TRANS form of K2?
A: We only use the Trans form of K2 in our formula.

Q: Is K2+D3 Non-GMO?
A: Yes, K2+D3 is Non-GMO.

Q: Where is the D3 sourced from?
A: Our D3 is sourced from lanolin which is sourced from sheep's wool.

Q: Is it safe to take while pregnant?
A: Vitamin K2 is used by the body throughout pregnancy, and later while breastfeeding. It may be particularly important during the third trimester. Vitamin D is an essential vitamin but is only effective when combined with vitamin k2.
Of course, we always recommend consulting with your physician to discuss your dietary supplement needs.

Q: What is the absorption rate for Vitamin K2?
A: The absorption rate will vary among different users. Vitamin K2 MK-7 is vital to help you absorb calcium in your bones. Without vitamin K2, calcium tends to absorb in the arteries.

Q: Why is the D3 in powder form? I thought D3 always came in liquid/softgel form.
A: Vitamin D3 is just as effective in dry form as liquid. That's why you will see some large national brands carrying D3 in capsule form rather than softgel (Pure Encapsulations, Source Naturals). The most important thing with D3 is that it is taken with food because that will increase the absorption rate significantly.

Q: Is this product fermented?
A: Our Vitamin K2 as MK-7 is not fermented. It is screened for soy and derived from geraniol.

Q: Why is there rice flour?
A: When dealing with supplement ingredients that are measured in micrograms (mcg), we often need to use carriers. Even with the tiniest of capsules, without carriers, the capsule would appear virtually empty.
We use rice (brown rice) flour as a carrier in this supplement because it is gluten free and a naturally occurring complex carbohydrate.

Q: I get 2000 iu of vitamin D in my calcium pills in addition to the 5000iu in your vitamin K and D pill. That makes a total of 7000iu of vitamin D daily. Is this an okay amount or too much?
A: 7,000 IU of Vitamin D3 is safe to take. No adverse effects have been seen with dosages up to 10,000 IU per day. Please confer with a doctor if you have additional concerns.

Q: Is the K2 + D3 capsule smaller?
A: For K2 D3, we did update the capsule size to be slightly smaller (very slightly). We were able to compress the same amount of K2 and D3 in this smaller capsule, so the dosage has not changed. We hope that customers appreciate the smaller capsule size and that it is easier to swallow.

Q: What is the natural source for MK7?
A: MK7 is derived from an isolated form of menaquinone, a bioavailable form that may be more easily recognized and absorbed in the body.

Q: Is K2+D3 allergen free?
A: K2+D3 is screened for Gluten, Soy, Milk, Eggs, Fish, Shellfish, Tree Nuts, Peanuts & Wheat.

Q: What’s K2+D3’s serving size?
A: Serving size: 1 veggie capsule. Servings per container: 60.

Q: Is K2+D3 vegan?
A: No, K2+D3 is not vegan.

Q: Is the K2 synthetic?
A: Our K2 comes from MK7, which comes from natural sources. It is a bioavailable form that may be more easily recognized and absorbed in the body.

Q: Why does this supplement have a metallic taste?
A: A metallic taste can occur from taking more D3 than the body requires. If you are getting D3 from other supplements or food sources, you may need to adjust your dosage/frequency. If you have further questions, we advise to follow up with your primary care practitioner.

Q: Can K2+D3 capsule be opened and powder added to applesauce or liquid?
A: Yes, the capsule can be opened and poured into something.
